Christmas is almost here! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ„
You might be wondering…
How on Earth am I supposed to stay healthy over the festive season?…

Let’s face it.

We all overindulge a little over the holidays…

Many of you have been operating full speed on autopilot all year long, and this time of year you will finally have time to sit down and unwind ๐Ÿ˜….

But can you stay on track and maintain your healthy habits?

Yes, you can ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ ๐Ÿ˜€

Food ๐Ÿฅ—.ย Make a conscious choice of having fruits, vegetables, lean (or plant) proteins, and whole grains into your meals.
You don’t want to over eat? Avoid attending parties on an empty stomach.
Having a glass of water before your meal will also prevent you from over eating. Which reminds meโ€ฆ

Stay hydrated ๐Ÿ’ง.ย Drink plenty of water throughout the day and avoid too many sugary drinks or alcohol.

Have you ever tried mocktails? They are delicious! (minus the hangover).
If you are drinking alcohol, try to have a glass of water for every drink you have.

Stay active ๐Ÿ‘ฃ.ย Remember to move, even during the holiday season. If you are in the UK, please don’t let the weather stop you! Movement, however small, even walking, is fantastic to burn off those extra calories.

Avoid stress.ย I know ๐Ÿ™„. I know what you are thinking.

But ๐Ÿ˜€…have you tried the power of sacred “no”? The holiday season can be stressful, so try this – say “yes” only to the things that give you positive impact – and see what happens.

Mindfulness – even 3 long breaths in the morning and evening will give you a sense of calm and clarity.

Gratitude ๐Ÿ™.ย Think of 3 experiences or people you were grateful for in the last year. Sometimes we have to dig a little deeper for those moments๐Ÿ˜Š.
Focusing on the blessings in our lives will help you with the positive mindset for the start of new year ๐Ÿ˜‡.

I hope these reminders will resonate with you and help you enjoy the festive season!
